The Best Law Of Attraction Books - My List

The best law of attraction books, are sometimes not apparent because they don't actually use the term 'law of attraction'

I consider any book that teaches you how to live life your way, is in essence, teaching you about the law of attraction.

Many of the books below don't even mention the term 'law of attraction' but they are all knowingly or not using that law to manifest magic, whether it's around wealth, lifestyle or relationships.

The styles vary as well as the publication dates, some are quite old, and some were published quite recently. So my advice is to read what seems to call to you and leave the rest, as it's important to read something that is inspiring to you, not something that bores you.

So, without further ado - below you'll find a list of some of my favourite (and in my humble opinion the best) law of attraction books that I've come across so far.

The Best Law Of Attraction Books To Get You Started

Below I’ve listed a few books that I recommend.  Whilst not all these books are what you may have thought of as law of attraction books, all of them have in some way helped me in my own journey, and they all use this law, whether they say so or not, so I hope you find something to help you as well...

All the links below will take you directly to Amazon.com (in a new page).  Please make sure you choose the right format (book or Kindle) before you buy.  I do earn a small amount from each sale, but that in no way influences my recommendations.  All these books are, in my opinion, are an awesome addition to your library.

The Game Of Life And How to Play It - Florence Scovel Shinn (1925)

Florence Scovel Shinn was a new thought spiritual teacher in New York in the early part of the 20th century. Using a wonderful story-telling style, she teaches that understanding the universal laws will allow you to play the game of life and win - meaning you can have whatever it is you desire, just by understanding and using spiritual law. Her everyday, common place examples  help you to put what she teaches into context in your own life.  Louise Hay cites Florence as one of the main influences that inspired her book You Can Heal Your Life, from which she went on to build her publishing company, Hay House.

The Law Of Attraction - The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham - Esther Hicks (Channeled) (2006)

Esther Hicks, supported by her husband Jerry (now deceased), channels a group of beings called Abraham - as she puts it "Delivering a message of joy and creation through dialogue with a group of spiritually evolved teachers who call themselves Abraham."  Their message was in the original version of 'The Secret', which they then distanced themselves from because the producers refused to talk about 'vibration' and the message lost it's authenticity.  This book is a great introduction to their work.

Light Is The New Black - Rebecca Campbell (2015)

Rebecca Campbell tells her own story at the beginning of the book.  It is a story similar to many, of not listening to inner messages until a big breakdown happens.  At that point Rebecca taps in and creates a life she loves from the ashes, and shares what she did, so you can do it too.

Dying to Be Me - Anita Moorjani (2012)

I love this book.  It will open your eyes to how you attract things into your life, whether you want them or not.  Anita Moorjani's journey through life nearly ended prematurely when, after 4 years, the cancer in her body became too much and she was given hours to live.  But after a near death experience, not only did she miraculously recover, the cancer completely disappeared, and she found a new way to live in sync with the Universe, allowing instead of trying to control.  As Wayne Dyer said 'everyone should read this book'.  This book is not about cancer but about the power we have in our own lives should we choose to use it.

You Were Born Rich – Bob Proctor (1984)

Although this book is centred around being wealthy, it has some great information and is based on using the law of attraction, even though it doesn't mention it.  You may remember Bob Proctor as one of the leading teachers in The Secret - where he pretty much shared a lot of the truths contained in this book.. (Also available as a free PDF e-book)

Being You, Changing The World - Dr Dain Heer (2015)

This is a very different book. It is written for the dreamers of this world— the people who KNOW that something different is possible—but who have never had the tools before.... This is a handbook for generating infinite possibilities and dynamic change. For you. And the world.

The Master Key System - Charles Haanel (1916)

Reported to be one of the books that originally inspired the movie The Secret, along with another book on this page - The Science of Getting Rich.

The Universe Has Your Back (2016)

I discovered this book when I wrote a post with the same title - it kept coming up in my searches.  So I bought it and read it.  It's about transforming fear to faith - about allowing uncertainty to be in your life without the need to try and control it.  It's great for those of you who like to have exercises, prayers and meditations to use to deepen their journey.

Living With Joy - Sonaya Roman (Channelled) (1986)

This is one of the first books I read that opened my mind to the force that was later called the law of attraction.  The information comes through Orin, who Sonaya describes as a 'timeless being of love and light', and was mostly taught in live workshops before this book was published.  Because of this, there are many examples of how these principles work in every day life, as experienced by her pupils.  An easy and enjoyable read that will lift your spirit.

The Secret - Rhonda Byrne (2006)

The book that introduced the law of attraction to the masses.  I was blown away by this book as it was the first time that I 'got' what Think and Grow Rich and The Science of Getting Rich were actually about.  It took the world by storm, but did receive a backlash later on by those who took it completely literally and thought you could just think about something and it would magically appear without any effort on your part.  Still a great book to read, and very uplifting as long as you remember - there is work to be done.

The Science of Getting Rich - Wallace D Wattles (1910)

Although the title suggests that this book is focused on acquiring wealth, in fact there is far more to it than that.   This is the book that Rhonda Byrne read, resulting in the production of the movie The Secret.

Ask And It Is Given - Abraham Hicks (2004)

This is the original book that introduced Abraham and the idea of the law of attraction.  Even though it is never mentioned as such in the book, it is the material that was shared on the original version of The Secret.

Wealth Beyond Reason - Bob Doyle (2003)

This book has one of the best descriptions of the law of attraction that I have ever read.  Again, this book is aimed at creating wealth, but of course wealth is not only money.  I found this book very early on in my journey and it was invaluable in teaching me the principles of manifesting and being in alignment with what I wanted to create.

The Power of Intention - Wayne Dyer (2004)

Intention is often thought of as flimsy idea to do something that never gets done.  Wayne Dyer, however, enlightens us that this is the basis that the Universe uses to bring things into creation.  When we have intention - we have made a decision as to what it is we want... and then we allow the Universe to find the best way to bring it to us.

Think And Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill (1937)

This timeless classic teaches the underlying principles that we now call the law of attraction.  Similar to The Science of Getting Rich (from the same era) it is a classic book about attaining wealth - but actually it's about being the person who will attract what it is you want into your life.

How To Raise Your Own Salary - Napoleon Hill - 1953

This link is to the new edition of this less known book by Napoleon Hill.    Whilst the title would suggest it's simply about earning more money - it's actually about a lot more than just that.  It covers the the techniques used by Andrew Carnegie to acquire the knowledge and skills he used to increase his share of life's riches.  I added this book as I got so many requests from readers about it.

You can also check this page as some of these are available as free e-books.

Enjoy your reading… and check back here from time to time because as I add to my list of best law of attraction books, I’ll add them here.
